The PRISMS program has been validated by the NATIONAL DIFFUSION NETWORK (NDN), which was a U.S. Department of Education sponsored clearinghouse of model educational programs. Validation was based on convincing evidence that a program was causing significant and positive changes in a group it is intended to affect. These curriculum programs can be replicated by schools across the nation at a fraction of the original development cost. Currently NDN has not been funded by Congress and many of the services have been lost or severely curtailed. However, the NDN endorsement of PRISMS shows evidence of an exemplary educational program.
